Our Story

After being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, I went back to college to become a teacher. I taught high school English for four years before I decided I wanted to be my own boss, so I started my own business. I've always loved cooking for my family, and we all LOVE spice food, so I decided that I wanted to start a food truck that has great food that can be truly spicy, without losing flavor. I wanted to have a food truck that was different from the others in our area, and I knew that there would be others who love spicy food as much as I do.

Aside from owning and running my own food truck, I have a passion for reading. I absolutely love all genres of literature; I am not picky when it comes to a good book! My husband and I are huge movie buffs as well. We have seen hundreds of movies, and the ones I really love I have seen dozens of times. One of our favorite things to do is to use movie quotes that relate to everyday situations - it drives our kids nuts. :) I am also still a teacher at heart, and not a day goes by that I don't think about my former students and how much I miss seeing them.

My husband Eric and I have been together since we met in jr. high school in Utah, which is where we were raised and started our family before moving to Tennessee in 2009. Eric was in the banking industry for more than a decade before joining me full-time on the food truck. He has a bachelor's degree in finance, an MBA, and attended the Graduate School of Banking at SMU in Dallas, Texas. He loves numismatics and is an avid coin collector. He also has a passion for growing and maintaining bonsai trees. Given his financial background, he is the CFO for the food truck, but he also doubles as the Executive dishwasher. :)
